Beth Howard is a Mattawan, Michigan native who grew up in Kalamazoo. After 27 years as a kindergarten teacher, she retired early to care for her mother. She and her husband, Chris, have two children, Lauren and Logan.
As a child, Beth spent summer weekends near Traverse City with her parents and grandmother, searching Michigan beaches for Petoskey stones. Those treasured memories inspired a lifelong love of collecting Michigan's official state stone.
In 2024, Beth discovered UV resin art while taking a birthday jewelry-making class. Rather than using dried flowers like many resin artists, she chose to feature the Petoskey stones she collects, creating unique pieces that celebrate Michigan's natural beauty.
Today, Beth handcrafts one-of-a-kind jewelry and beach-inspired creations that highlight the distinctive fossilized patterns of Petoskey stones. Every piece is made with care and reflects her passion for preserving and sharing the beauty of Michigan's shoreline.
Beth's missionis to showcase the natural beauty of Michigan's beaches through handcrafted Petoskey stone creations.
